Remember the Good Ol' Days?

When I was in second grade, I remember making a paper mache globe in social studies class to map out the seven continents. Even from then I was a perfectionist, so laying all those newspaper strips covered in corn starch evenly across the balloon drove me absolutely crazy! Plus, I hated getting my hands all nasty! Did anyone else make a paper mache globe in grade school? What other favorite/memorable arts and crafts activities do you remember?
